The Google One pricing options start at $1.99 per month for 100GB; a 200GB plan costs $2.99 per month, and the $9.99-per-month Google One plan increases the limit to 2TB. A higher-tier 10TB plan will still cost $99.99 per month. Google Drive currently offers a generous 15GB of free storage.

Drive works on most big operating systems. There are separate versions for Windows and Mac, and the mobile versions work on both Android and iOS. If you’re a Linux user, though, you’re out of luck because Google Drive doesn’t officially support Linux-based systems.

There are three ways to access your Google Drive files—through a web browser, a mobile app, or a desktop tool called Backup and Sync, which allows you to integrate your Drive folder structure into Windows File Explorer or Finder on a Mac.

Generally, Google has a decent record with security, and offers various levels of two-factor authentication (2FA), with numerous checks to catch unauthorized account access should it occur. Basically, if someone wants to get at your files, they're going to have to work very hard to get them.

Getting in touch with tech support isn’t an option if you’re on the free plan, but for paying subscribers, Google’s experts are available 24/7 via live chat, email, or phone. The service is generally efficient, taking around ten minutes to be linked with an agent.
